Eat the words of the Lord, or you will eat your own words. When you are filled up and satisfied on scripture, you will not say or do junk that is going to get you in a place you don’t want to be. What is put in will come out, so to speak, so drench in the Word daily! “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4)
The sons of Belial, or the devil, have always been around. They are always ready to lie, cheat, deceive, or kill for a little cash. Don’t support them, for their end is Hell. Their reprobate bosses will go down also. Down, down, down to the bottomless pit they go. Those who reject our God are forever lost, because He will always win! While you still breathe, there is a chance to repent! (1 Kings 21)
When we speak evil, it feeds demons… Curses and blessings come from lips.
Things have gotten pretty cloudy these days. We are wading through thick poo poo, and it seems there is no one you can wholly trust, even your own reasonings. How about this: “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” (Psalms 118:8) If you’re not sure who to believe, staple your soul to the One who lives inside you!
It seems that a lot of people in our world today have desired fame and fortune over eternal bliss in Heaven with Jesus. It takes money to get the gospel out, I’m not knocking that God will bless those who seek Him, but it seems a paltry trade to spend eternity in Hell for just a few years of popularity here. And, for many, their time in the spotlight is fading already… Pity the fools.
Jesus once explained to His disciples that some demons won’t leave except for prayer and fasting. (Matthew 17:21) It seems to me that we are up against some of those big guys in our nation. Do you think we should try more prayer and fasting on our own to break their power? God help us!
Wisdom from below doesn’t excite me. Jesus gives wisdom from above, where we should be living. In John 5:38 and 42, He tells those following Him, “You have not His [God’s] word abiding in you,” and “You have not the love of God in you.” Today, these two scriptures are good way to check ourselves, to make sure we are thinking right. Ask yourself, do I have the word and love in control today? I think this will keep us…..
You can use the name of JESUS to make demons flee. You can use the name of JESUS to heal the sick. You can use the name of JESUS to still the storms. The authority to do this is not yours, but Christ’s who lives in you. So use the name with respect, and not to curse or mock. Give honor and power and majesty TO THAT NAME, and you will be able to move mountains with it! (Acts 3:16)
The woman at the well in John 4 was a Samarian sinner, but Jesus stopped to speak to her anyway. He spoke wonderful words to her of an everlasting life, living water, and worshiping in spirit and truth. She spoke to Him and said, “I know that when Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.” (vs. 25) Jesus responded by telling her that He IS the Messiah! She became an instant…..
Jesus took up His cross on this Good Friday that we celebrate, and gave us renewed access to Heaven and all its privileges right here on earth. “Your kingdom come,” right? Here is a thought for modern believers: “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” (Matthew 16:24). What a good trade! Eternal life, health, provision, supernatural power, all given to those who will obey and seek the Savior!…..
