You can find many scriptures that speak of angels, but I want to focus on several that explain how angels aid believers. Before we get into the angel-thing, let’s define ‘aid’: Merriam-Webster.com/dictionary tells us that ‘aid’ means: “to provide with what is useful or necessary in achieving an end.” If you think that angels just float around all day on clouds, being entertained by human shenanigans, they are actually very busy beings. Daniel explains a lot about the supernatural realm and his experiences with angels. In chapter 10, he describes a visitation by an angel after a time of fasting and prayer. The angel tells him that he had come because of Daniel’s “words” (or prayers). He then tells Daniel that he had been fighting an evil prince in order to bring Daniel a message about the latter days, which would explain a dream. In verse 19, Daniel explains that he received strength when the angel spoke to him the words, “fear not, peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong.” Angels fight, respond to our words (and prayers) by bringing answers, and strengthen us. Whoopie, put them to work!!
