Ours is a great dilemma. As Christians, do we remain silent about the evil that we see in our world, or do we boldly confront, and risk offending others? The Lord always has instruction if we will ask. For instance, think of Esther, who was the queen in a nation who planned to destroy all her people. First, she fasted for three days and prayed (we think), then she boldly went to her husband the king, risking her life to go to him without being summoned. Her dilemma is described in these words by her uncle, “For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place: but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14, King James Version). Are you ready to fast and pray to get your orders from our King? Are you ready to obey, even if it costs you your life or your reputation? Have you come into the Kingdom of God for such a time as this?
