Jesus gave us superior wisdom in Mark 4:24 and Luke 8:18. He basically said: “Be careful what you hear, or be careful how you hear.” As a young person, I simply believed what I heard from those I was around. I was a simpleton, a sheep, gullible, senseless, and easily led by my own reasonings and emotions. I had my own set of values and beliefs, and could parrot what I had heard and had decided to keep in my heart as truth. THEN, when I finally read God’s Word, I received it all as Gospel truth, and began to judge what I heard by this standard. None of us have the ability to know it all, (thank God), but with the leading of LORD Holy Spirit, we can maneuver through the maze of life to find truth. Do you want to be ignorant and believe everything you are told in the media? Have those people who are informing you actually experienced the truth of what they are saying, or are they simply giving you their opinions? What kind of integrity do they have in their personal lives? Are they puppets of an agenda to control the masses, or are they really concerned about the “little guys”? Be careful, my dear friends! Your eternity depends on it!
