Within yourself is the ability to become excited when you give your attention and thoughts to something supernaturally good. As a little child thinks of Christmas, they get excited about the tree lights, delicious smells, and when they think of the packages they will soon receive. Wonder and awe are abundant, and anticipation is increased within them. Anticipation is the same thing as faith. When you ask God for something and then expect the answer to come, you are anticipating His response to be positive and good. Jesus tells us how to live in the spirit in Matthew 18:3, “I can guarantee this truth: Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven” (GWT). You can cause excitement to come into your heart by determining to have child-like faith in the promises and goodness of God. Believe that you receive them them: “and you shall have them” (Mark 11:24, NKJV). Anticipate that they are coming, and keep anticipating by speaking the promises of God to yourself over and over until you SEE them. The Word becomes FLESH (John 1:14), every time you hold on to it!
