When pondering a lack of answered prayer in warfare over a friend, the LORD reminded me: “Chop, chop, chop.” This is not about preparing Mexican food. I knew right away what He meant. He was referring to Isaiah 23:29: Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?” How many times do you have to hit a rock with a hammer before it shatters? If it is granite, you will have to take several blows before you chip it. So it stands to reason, that if you begin to chop down a tree, you will not take a fair-sized tree down with one blow of an ax. Sometimes you will have to apply that ax a multitude of times before she goes down. It takes perseverance, repetition, and patience to fell a tree or pulverize a rock. This is also applicable to spiritual battles. You must apply the Word of the Living God over and over until you get results… The bigger the problem, the more times you must decree the Word and Worship God for it until that demon is demolished, or felled. Remember, faith comes by Hearing the Word – over and over and over…. (Romans 10:17)
