Sometimes you just have to get your eraser out and erase memories, thoughts, and emotions that will get you nowhere. You can think and reason in circles for years, and get more confused and angry about things that other people have done without coming to any conclusions. Why not simply forgive. Take the big whiteboard in your mind and pick up the eraser and erase the whole thing. Then wash it until it sparkles. You have cleansed your mind. Now, pick up the Word of God, and start taking notes on that big whiteboard. Romans 12:2 says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (NKJV). Merriam-Webster.com gives the definition of renew: “to make like new: restore to freshness, vigor, or perfection.” So erase those thoughts, vents, reasonings, opinions, and anything that disagrees with God. You can learn to clean off your board and let go of anything that holds you down from flying free with Jesus. Then He can fill your mind with GOOD things and you will be able to hear His voice much more clearly. Snow boarding is fun!
