In the book of Ezra, when he comes on the scene, the Word says in Ezra 7:10, “For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statues and judgments” (KJV). Because he did this, and Ezra was living in the time of favor with King Artaxerxes, we read that the “hand of the Lord was upon him” in Ezra 7:6, and 7:28. What does it mean to have the hand of the Lord upon you? It means you have supernatural favor, wisdom, provision, strength, and authority. You will be able to do things that you could not do in the natural. You will know more things and be able to accomplish more than you could ever do before. You will be fearless because God is with you. Whatever He puts in your heart to do will come to pass through you, because His hand is on you! Herein is the key: Ezra had prepared his heart to SEEK the law of the Lord, and to DO it, and to TEACH it. Seek, do, and go teach. This is the way to get God’s hand of favor. Comprende?
