Jesus said some hard things. For those who do not like for Him to be in control, it would be better that they weren’t even born. It’s so easy just to yield to Him, and let Him guide your life, but it takes a humbling of yourself, and a “letting-go.” What if He asks you to go a different way or do something you don’t like, or that goes across your grain? See what He did for you. He opened the doorway to Heaven by giving His life on a cross, which was most decidedly unpleasant, but led to our salvations! Here is what He said in Luke 19:27: “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me” (KJV). This was spoken in a story about Him receiving a Kingdom, but it shows us that we will one day stand before Jesus, and I for one, will serve Him here on earth, and acknowledge Him as Lord and King! Come on!
