“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (Proverbs 4:23, NLT). YOU must make sure that your heart is in the right place. If it is full of bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness, your whole life will be skewed. You will look at other people as problems, not hidden treasure, and you will expect evil instead of blessings. Check your heart temperature. Is it hot or cold towards God and His Son Jesus. Has it grown calloused and hard, like old heels, or is it soft and absorbent like a new sponge? It is really up to you. You can repent and cry out to God, and get things right between you and Him at any time of the day or night. Just be sorry for going away from Him, and turn back toward Him. “turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness” (Joel 2:13, KJV). God is the ultimate Father, and He is willing to take you back!!
