In 1 Kings 16:30, we begin to see the story of Ahab and Jezebel. This woman Jezebel caused Ahab to sin above all other kings. In 1 Kings 19, we read of Jezebel’s attack on Elijah, God’s prophet. In 2 Kings, 9:22, we see the root of Jezebel’s power: whoredom and witchcraft. Since any true believer of God who is willing to live for Him and His Son will encounter this spiritual force named Jezebel, we need to know what to do when she strikes out of the blue, and she WILL. What is the opposite of her attributes? The enemy always mocks God with an exact evil copy of what God is trying to do, which is deception: the drawing away from truth by lies. So the opposite of witchcraft is God-led intercessory prayer. The opposite of whoredom is Holiness and purity. We must remember that the power of the Holy Spirit within us is much greater than the power of the enemy. (1 John 4:4). More coming……
