How many times have people thrown knives at our heart? This happens many times a day in this world we live in, and we have to forgive over and over. Sometimes, the knife is too big, and makes a huge wound that just doesn’t seem to heal up. First of all, REALIZE who is behind the knife. It’s not the person who is our enemy, but Satan. Ephesians 6:15 calls these knives “fiery darts,” which gives us a pretty good picture of how they feel when they hit, but we can “take up the shield of faith,” to “quench” them. If you SOAK your shield in the water of the Word, you can drown out these pesky hurts that try to destroy your heart, and take your strength. Here is is a KEY: “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,” (Ephesians 6:18, KJV). Just keep on praying! Keep on praying! Keep on praying! And, say out loud what Jesus said while hanging on the Cross, “Father forgive them; for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34, KJV). These words are devil-slaying words!
