Let’s think about Abraham Lincoln for a bit. He knew how to chop down a tree. He once said, “Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will will spend the first four sharpening the ax.” When chopping down a devil-grown tree, spend time searching for scriptures to use as your weapons. When you have found the ones which apply, exactly, then commence to chopping. Jeremiah 23:29 states: “Is not My Word like a fire?” says the Lord, “And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?” (NKJV). Does a hammer put a nail in a board in one blow? [sometimes, maybe]. Can you break a rock into pieces in one hit? [sometimes, maybe]. Can you cut down a tree with one swipe of the hatchet? Most probably not. What the LORD is saying is this: Use His Word over and over again, until the result is produced. If you want the tree to fall, you must be persistent. Be patient and persistent and keep chopping until the tree has fallen, and you will be rid of the entrenched devil that was keeping the sonlight from your home! Happy chopping!
