Are you a person who loves leftovers? Some leftovers are pretty good, like lasagna, or meatloaf sandwiches, but after a day or two, most lose their appeal. Some days I find I am giving God my leftovers: my leftover attention after everyone else gets theirs, my leftover time after I skip my morning prayers, or my leftover energy after a busy day. God deserves my full attention, and the first of my time and energy in the morning, as that is the best time in my day. He has provided a world for me to live in, air to breathe, interesting things to explore and do, and eternity through His Son. Why is it that I think my stuff is more important than His Stuff? Jesus stated in Matthew 6:33: “Seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (food, drink, clothing, etc.) (KJV). Give the LORD the best of your day, a tithe of your time, attention, and energy, and He will multiply the rest of your day. Honor Him!
