Three men were hanging on crosses within hearing of one another. One yells at Jesus to save them all if He really is the Son of God. The other thief yells at the first, that the two of them deserve to die, but Jesus has done nothing wrong. He then asks Jesus to remember him when he comes into his kingdom. Jesus replies to him: “Today you will be with me in paradise” (Luke 23:33-43). If you think for one minute that a tropical island with Mai Tais in hand is paradise, you don’t understand Heaven. That punk made it in just because he believed in Jesus. He didn’t get to be baptized, sanctified, or schooled in religion, because they were hanging on a cross together. He only believed!
