There is more to Christianity than believing in Jesus and going to Heaven. Take John 10:32, where Jesus is speaking to the Jews who were about to stone him to death. “Many good works have I shewed you from my father; for which of those works do ye stone me” (KJV)? Later, in verse 38 He says, “But, if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works; that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.” Jesus wanted the people to believe He was the Son of God, because of the miracles He worked. Would a loving God be any different now? He wants to prove that Jesus is His Son by working miracles so that people can believe. We are now the vessels He will use, if we are willing, since Jesus is in Heaven with Him. Will you be willing to be used to be a carrier of God’s presence and His power? We are now God’s representatives here on earth to preach, teach, and heal.
