Do you totally trust your thinker, your hairy reasoner? Why do you think that your brain knows it all or can know it all? Think a little further. Who could you ask questions of, who knows all the truth in the entire universe? Plain and simply, it is God, and God alone. He created everything, so why don’t we simply rely on God for the answers to the questions that we should be asking about the reality we see. We ponder about a lot of things, but they should all end up with God. We have a God who is alive, concerned about us, and more than willing to answer. The problem is hearing Him when He speaks. If you are tuned in to His frequency, and willing to get quiet and listen, and focus on Him, you will begin to hear His voice, and it takes practice and focus. Most of what He wants to tell you, He had written in book form, because the Bible shows us that God likes books as they are described in the Bible. Try reading His Book, and listening, and you will find things you never dreamed were possible, but they are interpreted by your heart, not your head! “Put all your trust in the Lord, and do not rely on your own understanding. Think of him in all your ways, and he will smooth your path” (Proverbs 3:5, NEB).
