Deuteronomy 4:20 tells us that the LORD makes His people, “a people of inheritance” (KJV). In verse 21, we are told that Moses would not be allowed to go into that “good land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an interitance:” The LORD had promised the land to them, just as the LORD will promise things to you. He shows us “good or rich lands” that He wants us to conquer and to have, to possess. We must take these things by faith, move into them with confidence and take them as a gift from God. The enemy will try to convince us elsewise, trip us up in sin (which stops us from inheriting), and discourage us from believing God through exhaustion, sickness, tormenting spirits, or attacks on our faith. Be immovable, steadfast, and encouraged by the Word. Keep your mind focused on Jesus and His supernatural power. Don’t covet, but know what God has given you, rejoice, draw near in Worship to the living God, and possess by the confidence of His presence going with you and in you!
