Peter had been arrested and thrown in prison by Herod the king. He was chained with two chains between two soldiers. The jailers must have been very afraid of his escape. The believers begin to pray without ceasing for him, and because of their diligence, the angel of the LORD showed up, Peter’s chains fell off, prison doors opened supernaturally, and Peter escaped back to the other believers. When he arrived at the house where they were staying, the other believers could not believe that Peter was actually free, even though they had been praying for him (Acts 12:1-19). I Thessalonians 5:17 also encourages us to “pray without ceasing.” Prophet Bill Norton states, “The reason the Church does not see miracles is because of the praiselessness, and prayerlessness of the saints.” Jump on the bus and get with it. The rewards are eternal!
