Anyone who loves Jesus wants everybody else to join the party. We want them to understand what Jesus did and how much it affects our lives, and how believing in Him will open the doors of Heaven to them now and in eternity. The question is, how to we share with unbelievers these truths that have happened in our lives. The answer is: the Word of God is “living and active” and “never returns void” (Hebrews 4:12, Isaiah 55:11). That means that God’s Word is supernaturally powerful, and will penetrate the heart of the hearer to, “open their eyes, and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of satan to God” (Acts 26:18). In Luke 8 you can read the parable of the sower. Jesus explains to his disciples that the seed is the Word of God. In effect we are farmers, planting the Word of God in others, and believing the seeds will produce, as others may water and care for the plants. This is such a natural analogy in comparing what we can see in this world to the kingdom of God. When you go fishing, take some Word (bait) with you to catch some souls for Jesus!
