Self-talk is a psychological tool that people use in their souls to change their attitudes and behaviors. It can be adjusted to accommodate good or evil feelings or thoughts in our innermost being, and it begins the moment we wake. If negative thoughts or worry are on your mind, counter them with: “This is the day which the LORD hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalms 118:24, KJV). Or use this one: “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases…” (Psalm 103: 1-3, KJV). When you consciously change the thoughts you are thinking and replace them with God’s Word, your entire life will change. You don’t even have to speak them out loud unless you are by yourself, but this positive use of self-talk will take you over the devil’s plans into God’s. Talk to yourself about God: change your life!!
