Sisera was a great general in the King of Hazor’s army. After he was slain by a woman, the Bible states, “So let all thine enemies perish, O LORD: but let them that love him [the Lord] be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might” (Judges 5:31, KJV). This does not say that we who serve the Lord will shine like the sun coming up, or the sun going down, but HIGH NOON! Proverbs 4:18 states: “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (KJV). Finally, in Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus tells us, “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick, and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (KJV). You are shining even when you don’t recognize it, and you are holding back the darkness. Keep on!
