King David of Israel had to fight a lot of battles. In 1 Chronicles 8-20, are some of them. Most of his life was spent just overcoming enemies of the LORD. Solomon, his son, however, had pretty much peace all his days. Some of you may feel that all you do is battle in the heavenlies. You are the ones who are preparing the way for your children and others to have perhaps an easier time of it. It is like building a highway. Once all the hard work is finished, the cars come buzzing along, getting to where they need to go quickly and efficiently. Don’t be angry about the warfare, but thank God that He is using you to prepare the way for others to push on ahead of you. It is your calling and your purpose. Teach as many as will listen to what you have learned, and have patience and compassion on the rest. Learn to love the warfare for it brings reward in Heaven!
