When you pray and grieve because of the evil around you, God puts a special mark on your forehead, which might be called a special “love” tatoo. It actually keeps you from His Wrath. When angels see that mark, they are instructed to, “touch no one who bears the mark” (Ezekiel 9:6, NEB). I believe that this is true in our time also. If sin causes you to grieve over another person’s sins, and you begin to intercede, or come…..
There are 3 things listed in Matthew 6 that we are supposed to do in secret. The first is in our giving. Don’t let anyone know how much or where you give. Don’t even let your right hand know what your left hand does. The second is in your praying. Jesus tells us to, “enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut the door, pray” (Matthew 6:6, KJV). The third thing you must do in secret, is to fast……
It is written about Josiah, who was king of Judah: “And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him (2 Kings 23:25). In addition, Josiah got rid of all the idols, wizards, conjurers, etc. that caused his people to sin, and worship other Gods. He…..
What do you see around you, a world in chaos? Are people doing things that you know our Lord doesn’t approve of? Does your heart grieve for the condition of men’s hearts, and their hard-heartedness and stubbornness in doing evil and then calling it good? Instead of wasting time and energy worrying about the dark side, PRAY! Pray for those who are your enemies in this world. Pray that God would “give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth”…..
Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter =Instant gratification entertainment providers. I love things that happen fast, but when you seek God, you must sit and be quiet, and meditate. Rabbits run the race fast, but poop out before they get to the end, or they get side-tracked down a “rabbit trail,” and forget to finish the race. If you want to cross the finish line, you must slow down, and center-down on Jesus, Father, and Holy Spirit. Concentrate, focus, determine, as an…..
There are times in prayer where you just have to push through. Like Elijah right after his duel with the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18). It was time for the rain to come after 3 years of drought. Elijah went up to the top of a mountain to pray, bowed down, and persevered until his servant brought word that a small cloud was forming. The servant had to go look seven times until this happened. Sometimes it takes perseverance…..
Luke 21 has a lot to say about our right now. There are many frightening things happening around us, but what does Jesus say? “Don’t be terrified” Luke 21:9). How do we do this when the news is filled with violence, contention between parties, and confusion? Verse 36 states that we are to “watch and pray” so that we won’t be drug into the hurricane of fear. Keep your spiritual eyes open, pray like you never have before, and know…..
Jesus, I just want to be more like you, seeing the beasts within that others tolerate because of ignorance of You, and Your mighty power to remove them permanently by speaking Words of deliverance over them.
