Have you ever tried to catch a horse that doesn’t want to be caught? You may get close to it, then it bounds away, jumping and snorting, and teasing you, as it sees the harness in your hand. We can be just like that horse as Father tells us in Psalm 32:8 & 9: “Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee” (KJV). That horse doesn’t know that its Master is planning to take it over to greener pastures, where the brooks have sweet, fresh water, and it will have protection from the heat, with massive, leafy trees to lounge under. There are no predators where the Master plans to take this rebellious horse. Can we not learn a lesson here? Willingly go towards God…
