We think of tribulation as a time when the earth will be pressed to the very core. According to dictionary.com, it means: “grievious trouble; severe trial or suffering…” In the original Greek, it means a pressing together like when grapes are in the wine press. We who believe God’s Word know that in the last days there will be the ultimate or greatest tribulation. In the prophet Moses’ last words to the Jewish people, he gives some very comforting instruction to any who seem to be in the press. “When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God and shalt be obedient to his voice, (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them” (Deuteronomy 4:30,31). So when we are going through a pressing, catastrophes, troubles, trials, or sufferings, throw all reasoning and all your own doings to try to fix things, and simply sit and listen for Father’s voice, and by all means, do exactly what He says to do. Write it down. Remember it every day. It is usually a direction, an instruction, a “knowing” that you have already received, but have not completed. OBEY. GO. DO. Then listen again for new instruction. Only Father knows where to go and what to do and He is more than willing to show you the way. The answers are inside you, in the quiet of your inner ear, not in the world or it’s noise.
