Trust the Voice of the Lord in your heart. We must realize that things heard or seen or felt in our head are subject to change, and can come from the realm of the devil or come as reasonings from what our little pea brains have experienced or been taught. These are limited to the earthly realm. Once in Matthew and Luke, and twice in Mark, the LORD Jesus reprimands the people for reasoning about his miracles (Matthew 16:8, Mark 2:8 & 8:17, and Luke 5:22). This indicates that we must be careful WHERE we are listening. Many voices can be heard in our heads such as the media we partake of, demonic chatter in the atmosphere, off-balanced Christian teaching, our friends and loved ones, and those in the work place, etc. All these temporal voices are subject to change. Quiet your soul and mind, drop your attention down into your belly area, where Holy Spirit dwells (if you are born-again by believing in Jesus), and listen. Give the LORD your full attention as if getting instructions from an boss or educator. Ask, and if you don’t hear an answer in the deepness of your being, wait, or come back later after prayer and worship and ask again. Some answers come quickly, and some take more time. Don’t get discouraged, but expect the wisdom of God to come and answer. Sometimes the answer will come later as you work or rest before, during or after falling asleep. The voice that comes from deep in your spirit can be totally trusted. Hear from your heart, not your head!
