If you have never read the Bible through, you are in for a surprise. Along with all the history, moral teachings, and miracles, are some scriptures that are unbelievable at first. You have to adjust your brain to even receive the truth of them. You mind has to be “enlightened” by these words and your heart must grasp these new concepts and take them as your own by an act of your will, because your brain will try to skip them, or downplay them, or tell you that you will never “make the grade” enough to deserve them. In John 15:7, we find one of these statements by Jesus, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you” (KJV). There are conditions: you need to be a believer in the LORD Jesus, and live your life for Him, and through Him. Give Him your all, and He will give you His all. Believe what He says. Take Him at His Word. Meditate on His Words, and they will become believable and doable.
