Nobody wants to wait. I want my Whopper and fries within 5 minutes, and I don’t want to wait in line at the grocery store. I sometimes even go through the self-checkouts just to avoid the lines with the real human checkers at the registers. Our time is precious to us we think, but there are times when we just have to wait. One is when a baby is born. It takes 9 months, whether we like it or not. It is just the perfect time for that little baby to grow everything it needs to survive in the world. It is protected and safe, until the time comes for its birth. So are the things of the spirit. They cannot be hurried. Some things must be birthed in prayer, and waited upon with patience and faith until Father decides the perfect time has come to deliver the promise. What are you waiting on? While you are waiting, pray, believe; obey what God has told you to do, and in the perfect time, you will see with your eyes the promise of God come to pass. The Word of God will become flesh, (John 1:14), just as Jesus came fulfilling the Word of God!
