Words are so powerful that they can move mountains (Mark 11:23). They can even change the weather. Elijah the Tishbite stated: “there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” (1 Kings 17:1). And there was no rain for 3 years, until Elijah told it to rain. This took great faith in God to happen, because Elijah had to believe that his words, which the Lord had given him, would come to pass. Be careful what you say. Make sure that every word is exactly what you want to happen, or you may get into a heap of trouble as they boomerang back to bite you. Words are creative, just as God created the universes, we create good or bad with our words. You may have to wait for their power to work, as other forces try to stop your words from having a positive effect. Words do hurt. Watch your words…
