Joshua was a warrior. He took over after Moses had given him strict instructions: “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9). He had a big job to do, and it was to take the promised land by war. If we think for one minute that satan is going to let us be victorious without a fight, we are sadly mistaken. THERE IS NO VICTORY WITHOUT A BATTLE! We can’t do it without the Lord’s help. He has the battle plans, the strength, the weapons, the protection, and the provision. In fact, He is IN us and WITH us and His angels guard us in all our ways (John 14:17 & Psalm 91:11). Here’s where Joshua ended up: “the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.” (Joshua 21:44, 45). I sure do like the end of this story!
