Wisdom (in Webster) is: “the ability to discern inner qualities and relationships: insight. Proverbs 4:7 states, “Wisdom is the principal thing: therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding” (KJV). Let’s go to the New Testament. Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away” (Matthew 24:35, KJV). Knowing things about our world is useful and interesting, but knowing the words of the Lord is much more important, because knowledge will pass away, but the wisdom in the words of Jesus is eternal!
