There is much chaos in our world which is confusing when trying to judge what is really going on, and who to believe. Many voices are trying to get our attention, because if they can get our attention, they can take our time, money, and information. Everyone wants to figure out how to sell us something, whether it be material goods, political views, or what values we will guide our lives by. How are we to know what is truth, and what is farce? We have to know by the Word of God, and the inward leadings of the Holy Spirit. Nothing else will do. Matthew 7:16 & 17 states, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing: but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits” (KJV). This is kind of like saying: ‘put up or shut up’. A false prophet is someone who is giving opinion or teachings in order to control you instead of sharing what God says about the situation. Here is the answer: Don’t listen to someone who has done nothing to solve problems, or do what God wants done. Only give your time, help, and thoughts to those who are bringing forth fruit: righteousness, justice, provision, or protection for those who are young, weak, or elderly, and cannot do these things for themselves. Judge by actions, not by words, which come cheap.
