Words are so powerful that they can move mountains (Mark 11:23). They can even change the weather. Elijah the Tishbite stated: “there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” (1 Kings 17:1). And there was no rain for 3 years, until Elijah told it to rain. This took great faith in God to happen, because Elijah had to believe that his words, which the Lord had given him, would come to pass. Be careful…..
In Isaiah 11:4, we read a prophetic account of Jesus in the Old Testament which tells us something very powerful. “he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.” Do you see what Jesus did with his words? He will also come back as a great warrior, and use this same M.O. God’s words were powerful enough to create everything that is. So, were we believers…..
Jesus said in Matthew 5:37, (GWT) “Simply say yes or no. Anything more than that comes from the evil one.” He was trying to keep us out of trouble. You see, our words are powerful containers of good or evil, and we need to use discipline when using them at all. Be simple with your words. Try to use them in exactly the way you intend. My advice: Don’t use your words at all when you are angry, depressed, or…..
Why did Jesus say, “the words I have spoken to you are spirit, and they are life? (John 6:63, KJV). How can words be spirit? Words are invisible. The spirit realm is invisible. Yet they are both extremely powerful forces, which can be used for darkness or for light. It takes focus and intent to curb our dark words which agree with what our enemy is doing. Watch the enemy’s puppets. They use words constantly. You choose to counteract the…..
Every word we speak either brings God on the scene, or the devil. How do we know this? Proverbs 18:21: “Life and death are in the power of the tongue: And those who love it will eat its fruit.” Jesus said, “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment, (Matthew 12:36, KJV). This sure makes me want to shut up! Enough said!!
For thousands of years in the Old Testament, the Messiah was written about and proclaimed. From Genesis through Malachi, he was described. Then- He was born in Bethlehem, rode on a donkey, and caused the blind to see, the deaf to hear, and the lame to walk. All these things came to pass because they were spoken by the prophets. John 1:14 states, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory…..
